What goes around-choosing the RAN's future combat helicopter

By Andrew Davies

This is the third (and final for the foreseeable future) ASPI paper on the future of the Royal Australian Navy’s combat helicopter capability. It considers the choice, risk, cost, capability and other factors.

This paper points out that the future management of whichever fleet is chosen will be an important contributor to the future cost-effective delivery of combat capability—something that does not characterise the recent history of Australian naval aviation.
