Maree Roughton is Defence Senior Strategic Client Executive at Microsoft.

Maree joined Microsoft in 2014 and in the past 5 years Maree has worked in the Services business, and Global Partner Business supporting and managing Military System Integrators, and Defence and Intelligence clients and partners.

As the Senior Strategic Client Executive for Microsoft’s Defence and Intelligence Portfolio, Maree is responsible for one of Microsoft's most critical customers within the Commonwealth Government. She ensures the breadth of Microsoft’s business solutions meets the needs of and creates new initiatives and opportunities to support the Department’s strategic goals and objectives. Maree has 12+ years industry experience across the Defence and Intelligence sector.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Maree worked in the telecommunications Industry for 10+ years, where she was responsible for the Management of the Federal Government Business, she also held Sales Management, Delivery and Contract Management roles.

Maree has held numerous Managed Services and business development roles across Federal government with a variety of ICT companies in her 25-year career. Maree is a passionate customer advocate with her customers at the heart of her decisions. Maree is a competent coach who enjoys developing new IT talent and supporting women in business.
