Madeleine is the Senior Coordinator, Communications and Events – The Sydney Dialogue.

Madeleine has a background in security studies and has worked in research, communications, event management and project coordination. She was previously ASPI's Events and Communications Officer and co-coordinator for the Women in Defence and Security Network.

She has worked in government communications and public relations in London and was most recently a Research Associate at the Lowy Institute from 2019-21 where she worked on a range of projects including the ‘Australia’s Security and the Rules-Based Order’ project, wrote on US-Australia relations, and co-produced the Institute’s podcast, The Director’s Chair.

Madeleine has a bachelor degree in Arts (History and Politics) from the University of Queensland and a masters of Science in Middle East Politics, specialising in gender and radicalisation, from London University’s School of Oriental and African Studies.
