Fitri is a cyber security project lead, and senior researcher at the International Relations Department, Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Indonesia.

Broadly, her research focus includes Women, Peace and Security, peacekeeping, peace and mediation, security sector reform and human rights, as well as cyber security. She obtained her PhD in Security and Defence Studies from Cranfield University, United Kingdom. She is a lecturer at the International Relations Department, Universitas Indonesia for modules on "Transnational Community" and "Gender in International Politics".

Her publications include “Towards a Resilient Regional Cyber Security: Perspectives and Challenges in Southeast Asia” (2019) and “Rowing Between Two Digital Reefs: The Encroaching Great Power Competition” (2022). Fitri is also a member of the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) roster of experts on cyber diplomacy, Co-Chair of Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Study Group of the Council for Security Cooperation in the Asia Pacific (CSCAP), and UN Women consultant on Cybersecurity Implications for the WPS Agenda.
