The Australian Strategic Policy Institute and the Australian Civil-Military Centre are delighted to invite you to the webinar launch of their joint report 'Mapping Pacific Contributions to UN Peacekeeping: Past Experiences and Future Opportunities'.
This new report maps both past and current contributions to UN peace operations and examines the different objectives and priorities of the following seven case study countries in the region when it comes to deploying military, police and civilians to UN peace operations: Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste, Tonga and Vanuatu. The report also identifies opportunities for greater engagement with UN peace operations and provides recommendations for all stakeholders in the region.
In this webinar, ASPI’s Lisa Sharland will be joined by UN Police Adviser Luís Carrilho, Solomon Islands' Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Police, National Security and Correctional Services Karen Galokale, and Dr Alan Ryan and Angela Fitzsimons from the Australian Civil-Military Centre for a discussion moderated by researcher Genevieve Feely.
