The Sydney Dialogue 2025

Date: 8-9 October 2025
Time: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Location: Sydney, Australia

The Australian Strategic Policy Institute is pleased to announce the Sydney Dialogue, the world’s premier policy summit for critical, emerging and cyber technologies, will return on 8-9 October.

Now in its fourth year, the dialogue attracts the world’s top thinkers, innovators and policymakers, and focusses on the most pressing issues at the intersection of technology and security. TSD has become the place where new partnerships are built among governments, industry and civil society, and where existing partnerships are deepened.

TSD 2025 will explore trends in the most advanced and consequential technology fields including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum computing, biotechnology, space technology, hybrid warfare such as disinformation, climate and energy, and critical infrastructure. We will look at the ways technology is disrupting workforces, upending economic and strategic power, splintering supply chains and transforming militaries.

The dialogue will once again focus on giving prominence to diverse voices. This includes showcasing Indo-Pacific perspectives and recognising the importance of policy thinking taking place in India, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

TSD 2025 will be held in person and will feature a mix of keynote addresses, panel discussions, closed-room sessions and media engagements.
