Op-Ed Workshop: Writing on defence and security
On Thursday 9 December, ASPI’s Women in Defence and Security Network looks forward to hosting its pilot 'Op-Ed Workshop'. This workshop seeks to provide an opportunity for early-to-mid career professionals to further develop their skills in writing and pitching Op-Eds.
The workshop will be facilitated by Brendan Nicholson, Executive Editor of ASPI’s commentary site The Strategist, and Anastasia Kapetas, National Security Editor of The Strategist, and it will include both theoretical and practical components and will also include an opportunity for Q&A. Participant numbers will be limited to ensure that each participant receives helpful mentoring and feedback.
If you are interested in attending the workshop, please contact ASPI’s Events and Communications Officer, Ashleigh McNeill ([email protected]) to express your interest. Places are limited for this workshop and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. However, this is a pilot workshop and we plan to host additional Op-Ed workshops in 2022.
Please note: While the WDSN is primarily a forum for women working in the areas of defence, national security and foreign policy, we welcome all individuals with an interest in defence, cyber and national security to register their interest for this workshop.
Make sure to follow ASPI's WDSN for announcements on additional workshops and events highlighting diverse voices in defence and security.
