Senator the Hon. Linda Reynolds CSC, Minister for Defence is today providing an address at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute on the 2020 Defence Strategic Update and the 2020 Force Structure Plan.

In October 2019 Defence Minister Linda Reynolds announced the Defence Department was conducting a strategic review that would work through a reassessment of the strategic underpinnings of the 2016 Defence White Paper, with the outcomes to be considered by government in early 2020.

Today the Minister will make a public address at ASPI about the outcomes of the Defence Strategic Update and the 2020 Force Structure Plan. The Minister will then be joined by General Angus Campbell, Chief of the Defence Force and Mr Greg Moriarty, Secretary of Defence, for a panel discussion and Q&A moderated by Peter Jennings, ASPI’s Executive Director.
