On 21 October 2014, ASPI held a panel discussion in its lecture theatre to launch the recent publication Another century, another long war. The panel included ASPI executive director Mr Peter Jennings, Dr Tobias Feakin, a senior analyst at ASPI, and the author of the report, Mr Peter Leahy.

Discussion centred around Australia’s response to the conflicts in Iraq and Syria, the motivations of ISIS and those seeking to join, challenges within the political and military situations in Iraq, how the Australian Government is currently dealing with counter-radicalisation at home, and Australia’s overarching national interest in addressing problems both at home and abroad.
