Invisible lineThe aim of this conference is to discuss the outcomes of the new Defence White Paper. The conference will bring together senior policy-makers, high-level military officials and leading industry representatives from Australia and around the world to discuss key issues surrounding the long-term opportunities and challenges for Australia’s defence and security.

These issues include:
  • the challenges and threats to Australia’s security and strategic interests;
  • the objectives for the Australian Defence Force to meet these challenges and threats;
  • Australia’s relationships with other countries and international organisations in our region and beyond; and
  • the priorities for capability investment and industry’s contribution to national security

This conference will aim to take a broad look at these crucial areas, with a particular focus on the economic and commercial implications of current trends for both the region and the wider international community, in order to contribute to the necessary analysis of the new challenges, and to the decisions policy-makers will have to make to navigate them.
