Australia’s forthcoming International Cyber Engagement Strategy outlines the principles, interests and goals that guide Australia’s international engagement on cyber issues. Seven key themes are covered by the Strategy: Digital Trade; Cyber Security; Cybercrime; International Security & Cyberspace; Internet Governance & Cooperation; Human Rights & Democracy Online; and Technology for Development. The Strategy prioritises and coordinates Australia’s whole-of-government international engagement communicates Australia’s position on key international cyber discussions, and provides the basis for creative partnering arrangements for delivering Australia's objectives in cyberspace, harnessing combined efforts of Government, private sector, academia and civil society. Led by Australia’s inaugural Ambassador for Cyber Affairs, the Strategy sets an ambitious agenda placing Australia at the forefront of international cyber diplomacy.
