Australia–Israel Be’er Sheva Dialogue 2017
ASPI, in cooperation with the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA), held the third Be’er Sheva Dialogue, a defence and security exchange between Australia and Israel in Tel Aviv, Israel on 1 November 2017.
Participants included representatives from government, the media, the military, industry, academia, parliament (from both sides of Australian politics), the intelligence community and think tanks.
The agenda for discussions included southeast and north Asian security challenges, developments in the Middle East and East Mediterranean, terrorism trends and opportunities for counterterrorism cooperation, maritime security, cybersecurity, defence industry cooperation, strategic policy under the Trump administration, and hybrid warfare strategies.
