Aus-Africa Dialogue 2015: Report Launch
Speakers: Distinguished Panel
The second Australia-Africa Dialogue was held from 10-14 September 2015 in Zambia co-hosted by ASPI and the Brenthurst Foundation examining cooperation to build peace, security and prosperity between the two continents. Discussion focused on a range of shared interests between Australia and Africa, including the role of government and the private sector in preparing for emerging security challenges; engaging women in efforts to maintain peace and security; combating terrorism and transnational organised crime; infrastructure development, human capital and professional services; sustainable investment in the resources and commodities sector; and enhancing defence engagement to support regional and international security.
This event will launch the report from the 2015 dialogue and discuss some of the reflections and recommendations contained in it for strengthening engagement between Australia and Africa. We look forward to a dynamic discussion on some of the issues likely to shape that relationship going forward.
