As one of the most highly anticipated events on the calendar for the national security community, the 2025 ASPI Defence Conference will be a timely opportunity for policy makers, political leaders, government officials and industry innovators to discuss and debate defence strategy, national resilience and regional security.

The 2025 Conference will focus on the major challenges stemming from the 2024 National Defence Strategy and how the Australian government should deploy all elements of national power to protect our security, interests and way of life.

The program will focus on the preparedness and resilience challenges for Australia and our industry and other partners, with an emphasis on conversations and insights that stimulate debate, influence policy and are operationally relevant. It will have a particular focus on the role of Australian industry in supporting the nation’s preparedness for crises and the public-private partnerships necessary to deliver defence, national security and broader national resilience.

The event will also explore the current state of the Australia-US alliance under the Trump Administration and its impact on defence planning and Australian sovereign capabilities.

The conference will bring together government ministers, senior defence and national security officials, leading industry figures and international experts to debate and discuss the challenges Australia is facing, how international conflicts and crises are impacting Australia and what needs to be done to deter conflict in this region while being prepared for, and resilient to, any future crises.

Through a mix of panels, major addresses and fireside conversations, this event will challenge traditional thinking and engage participants on our most pressing defence and national security problems.

Ticket price includes admission to conference and conference gala dinner on 4 June. Please note: the conference dinner will be hosted at Gandel Hall.

Note: This event is now sold out and we are operating a waitlist. Join the waitlist here.
