Please join ASPI’s International Cyber Policy Centre and City of Sydney on 6 July for a public address by Peter W. Singer, strategist and senior fellow at the New America think-tank in Washington, at 12.45pm at the Sydney Startup Hub.
Peter will talk on cyber threats: what are the key new cyber-security trends of 2018.
The author of multiple award-winning books, Peter is considered one of the world's leading experts on 21st century security issues. Peter specialises in emerging technologies, cyber and the future of warfare and has been named amongst the Smithsonian top 100 leading US innovators, Onalytica’s ten most influential voices on cybersecurity and by Foreign Policy in the Top 100 Global Thinkers List. He is a contributing editor at Popular Science magazine and the founder of NeoLuddite, a technology advisory firm. He has worked as a consultant for the US military, Defense Intelligence Agency, and FBI, as well as advised a wide-range of technology and entertainment programs His past work included serving as coordinator of the Obama-08 campaign's defense policy task force, in the Balkans Task Force at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and as the founding director of the Center for 21st Century Security and Intelligence at The Brookings Institution, where he was the youngest person named senior fellow in its 100 year history.
