Dr. William Stoltz is a Senior Fellow at ASPI with a research focus on Australia’s preparedness planning and covert statecraft. He is a Senior Advisor at the Australian Industry Group and is the Executive Director of the Melbourne Security Forum.

Dr. Stoltz has worked in official strategic policy advisory roles across Australia’s defence, intelligence, and law enforcement communities. He was Policy Director at the ANU National Security College and a Senior Manager at CyberCX.

Dr. Stoltz has published extensively on Australia’s intelligence statecraft, foreign policy, and national security. He is a Councillor of the Australian Institute of International Affairs (Victoria) and a member of the Advisory Board of the Australian Diplomacy, Development, and Defence Dialogue (AP4D).
