Kim McGrath is a researcher and author of Crossing the Line: Australia's Secret History in the Timor Sea as well as one of the lead essays in the latest issue of Australian Foreign Affairs, Spy vs Spy. She has been published in the Monthly and has long experience working in government and policy development. She is Research Director, Office of the Hon Steve Bracks AC and provides occasional policy advice to the Timor-Leste government.
