Biography

Dr Gorana Grgić is a jointly appointed Senior Lecturer at the Department of Government and International Relations and the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney.

Later this year, Gorana will be joining the Hertie School’s Centre for International Security in Berlin as the 2022-2023 Research Fellow in Grand Strategy. She is currently the Project Coordinator of ERASMUS+ Jean Monnet grant project on the Global EU at the University of Sydney. Gorana was a Visiting Fellow at the Harvard Center for European Studies in 2018-2019, while in 2021 she was the Partners Across the Globe Research Fellow at the NATO Defense College in Rome. Gorana’s research interests include US politics and foreign policy, transatlantic relations, conflict resolution and democratisation. She has been a regular political analyst for the ABC News Australia and has contributed to a number of Australian and international media outlets and policy institutes.
