Biography
Fran started her working life in logistics operations with the oil and gas industry in Western Australia and discovered early in life, a passion for operational businesses.
Fran served as a commissioned officer in a variety of roles that were characterised by strong logistics, operations, personnel management and leadership experiences. The combination of these experiences provided an excellent preparation for roles in business.
In 1999 Fran joined Tenix Defence and worked in a variety of roles involving project management, customer engagement and leadership. She has managed large workforces, large tendering activities, complex production contracts and achieved respected and trusted relationships with customers.
Fran joined the BAE Systems team with the acquisition of Tenix in 2008 and has subsequently worked in Project Management and several General Management roles. As the General Manager Weapons Systems, Fran was responsible for customer engagement, leadership and management of the Weapons Systems business. The role involved complex government and industry based relationships, significant technologies and the delivery of multiple projects within the business.
Fran was appointed Director for Strategy & Business Development in 2014 and works as an Executive Director on the Management Board for BAE Systems Australia. Fran delivers highly effective strategic leadership and business acumen to the company and to the Defence community.
Fran was born in Malaysia and has moved regularly inside Australia and abroad. Completing her formal education in Perth, Western Australia, her qualifications reflect her interests in business and logistics. Fran lives with her husband in the Wombat State Forest and enjoys family life, cooking and travel.
