Innovation Strategy Coordinator, Energy Management, Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program; External Contributor
Mr. Bunro Shiozawa is Innovation Strategy Coordinator, Energy Management within the Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP).
He is also an Advisor to Japan's Intellectual Property Standards Office. Recently, Mr. Shiozawa served as the Chair of the Energy and Climate Change Leadership Group at the International Council of Chemical Industry Associations, and was Deputy Program Director of the SIP focused on energy carriers.
Mr. Shiozawa also has an extensive background in government, including a number of roles with the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITTI). At the MITTI, he held a number of positions including Director, Chemical Management Policy Division Basic Industries Bureau; Director, Technical Co-operation Division, International Trade Policy Bureau; and Deputy-Director General for Science and Technology Policy Minister’s Secretariat, Cabinet Office.
He has been awarded the Technology Award from the Combustion Society of Japan for successful R&D management in SIP “Energy Carriers.” His latest publication, Implementation of Carbon Neutral Strategy - Electrification, Hydrogen and Ammonia was released in March this year.
