Biography
Alison Davidian is currently a Programme Management Specialist on Women, Peace and Security with UN Women's Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, based in Thailand.
Previous to this, she worked with UN Women's Peace and Security Section in New York where she led the global preventing violent extremism and transitional justice portfolios and for UN Women in Uganda where she managed the access to justice programme.
She has over fifteen years of experience on development, gender equality and access to justice issues. Before her time at UN Women, she worked for organizations including the International Center for Transitional Justice in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Equality Now in Zambia, UNDP Somalia, and the Refugee Advice and Casework Service in Australia. She has a BA (Government) and an LLB from the University of Sydney, and an LLM from Harvard.
