Adam Gilmour is the Founder and CEO of Gilmour Space Technologies, a Queensland-owned SME that is leading the development of sovereign space capabilities in launch vehicles, satellites, and access to space. 

A lifelong space fan, Adam is the driving force behind the success of Gilmour Space, now the largest space company in Australia with over 160 employees. Their investors include some of Australia's biggest names, including the Queensland Investment Corporation as well as superannuation funds Hostplus, HESTA and NGS Super.

Before starting the company, Adam was a 20-year veteran at Citigroup. A Top 300 global manager, he built and ran a billion-dollar global corporate sales business in financial derivatives, foreign exchange and options for the Asia Pacific region. Today, he is a thought leader and champion of Australia's new space industry for Commercial, Civil and Defence space applications. Adam was named one of Australia's Top Innovators in 2022 and 2021 by The Australian, and was awarded the Advance Award for Advanced Manufacturing in 2019.
