Proliferation central: Syria's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons by Carl Ungerer

This Policy Analysis by Carl Ungerer examines the threat posed by Syria’s nuclear, biological and chemical weapons following recent revelations of a plutonium reactor being built with North Korean assistance in the Syrian Desert. The paper argues that Syria’s nuclear program represents a challenge to non-proliferation efforts in the Middle East and should be a key focus for any renewed Australian counter-proliferation diplomacy.
