ASPI will rely on short-term contractors and secondees for the delivery of most
of our products. We will be a demanding customer. We are looking for people who
have fresh ideas, and the expertise to make a real contribution on practical defence
and strategic policy issues. They will need to be able to develop workable proposals,
and to express themselves clearly. They will need to have a proven record of achievement
in analysis and research, and in working to deadlines and budgets. We are hoping
our stable of talent will include academics, journalists, consultants, retired ADF
and civilian public servants and serving officers and officials on secondment.
